Missions
The mission of the Church is missions.  Before ascending to the right hand of God, Jesus Christ commissioned His church to evangelize the world.  In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said:

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

This command, often labeled as the "Great Commission", is repeated in each of the gospel accounts and also in the book of Acts.  West Omaha Baptist Church believes the "Great Commission", is personal, local, regional, national and global in scope.
1. Personal: WOBC members will seek to win family members, co-workers and friends to Christ and also establish relationships with others in an effort to win them to Christ.  New converts should be helped and discipled.

2. Local: Pastor Robertson will lead a weekly churchwide door-to-door evangelism effort in neighborhoods surrounding the church.  WOBC will host special days inviting new people to visit the church.

Weekly churchwide doorknocking currently takes place on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

3. Regional: Assist other church planters that come to the mid-west with door-to-door tract distribution and other assistance as WOBC is able to provide.

4. National: Supporting, preparing and sending missionaries to other areas of the United States.  WOBC will employ faith promise giving to support missionaries.  WOBC will also provide leadership training for those that seek to become missionaries.

5. Global: Supporting, preparing and sending missionaries to other countries.  WOBC will employ faith promise giving to support missionaries.  WOBC will also provide leadership training for those that seek to become missionaries.

Currently, even as a ministry of Crossroads Baptist Church, WOBC already supports the following ministry and missionaries through Faith Promise Missions Giving:

Conference on Evangelizing Black America (COEBA)
Jonathan Adjabeng, missionary to Ghana
Bob and Kelly Radank, missionaries to Germany
Jason & Mary Ritchie, missionaries to Mongolia

Our May 2009 Missions Conference theme was "See and Hear Their Cry." Dr. John Halsey was our guest preacher, providing us with inspirational truths from God's Word about reaching the world for Christ.  Jason and Mary Ritchie were our featured missionaries and are the newest members of the West Omaha Baptist Church missions family.  They are going to Mongolia.
