We held our first service on September 24, 2006. The inaugural service included Pastor Robertson and his family, two residents from the community, as well as a few friends and extended family who journeyed to Omaha for the special event. The church was a mission work of Crossroads Baptist Church which is located just outside Washington, D.C. in northern Virginia. You can visit their website at www.ourcrossroads.org. Many men have been sent across the country by Crossroads to start other churches.
We began meeting in Discovery Plaza in the fall of 2006. Two years later, after the 2008 June tornado struck our building, we were able to lease the adjoining unit, remodel both bays and expand our growing ministry. In our fourth year, we saw the need for additional space once again and remodeled two bays right next to the Amazing Pizza Machine off Millard Avenue. The new and much larger location accomodates a large sanctuary 5 classrooms, a large nursery and three large restrooms.
On February 6, 2011, 87 people attended our Charter Service as we officially became an autonomous church!
We are a vibrant, growing, and diverse congregation. We hope you will consider visiting us and see for yourself what God is doing in our midst!
