Teens

The West Omaha Baptist Church student ministry is an exciting ministry for young people in the 7th - 12th grades. We encourage teenagers to reach all the potential God has given them and to live their lives with faith in Christ and a genuine concern for others. We provide a positive peer group to support, encourage, and pray for each other.

Our teenagers are involved in Sunday classes, weekly outreach, monthly activities, annual trips, retreats, programs, and more. Everyone is welcome to attend. Our teen group meets every Sunday morning at 10:00 am where they are taught the Bible on a more personal level.


	May: Mini Golf The youth group had a great time at the mini golf activity! What a challenging course. Pastor won with 55, but we think gravity got the best of all of us. The water hazards were very popular, as you can see. ;)

April: Council Bluffs Youth Rally

We had a great time at the youth rally sponsered by Eastern Hills Baptist Church in Council Bluffs. Great preaching from Adam Langston with a strong challenge: Are you living by conviction or preference? Activities at the YMCA: basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and swimming. And to top it off the WOBC youth won BOTH the sword drill and Bible quiz. The Lord blessed their effort in study and practice, great job West O!


	March: Laser Tag Hiding behind barriers, hunting your fellow church members, and Zzzap! What great fun we had at laser tag. But what is this thing about ganging up on the youth director? We followed with pizza and preaching, challenging the youth to be industrious young people and adults.


February: Student Ministries Kick-Off The Youth/Parent kick-off was a great start to our year. We reviewed our plan for the ministry, heard a great challenge from Pastor and learned that parents and teens need to spend some more time together. The goal of these Youth/Parent events is to include parents in the activities, thank you parents for bringing your children.


	February: Central City Youth Rally The teens had a wonderful time at the Youth Rally in Central City. The building was packed, the preaching was great and there was free pizza. The West Omaha Baptist Church Teens won the inpromptu skit competition and came in third in the sword drill. Go West O!


January: Youth Fellowship We had a great fellowship time at the church. Games, snacks, and each other! Our teens made coin jars to raise money for the youth program. Even the moms pitched in!
